The Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) is pleased to announce the formation of the Research Review Committee (RRC).


The RRC meets regularly and reviews requests for data and information for the purposes of research or study. The RRC will track, review and approve or disapprove requests from external and internal sources regarding research and study interests in the populations served by CYFD. 


RRC’s Mission

Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) Research Review Committee (RRC) supports scientific research based on the highest ethical standards and sound theoretical foundations. CYFD supports research that seeks to benefit New Mexico’s children and families, and the communities in which they live.


The RRC must ensure that research projects it approves follow academic and scientific ethical standards, and assure that client identifying information is protected according to state and federal standards governing confidentiality.
