This is Alan.
He is a 16-year-old boy.
Alan is a talented artist who also enjoys building with Legos, origami paper crafting, and is very knowledgeable about military aircraft. He enjoys going out to eat, going to the movies, amusement parks, hiking, fishing, flying planes, remote controlled cars, launching rockets, sleeping in late, and playing game systems. He enjoys animals and especially likes cats and dogs. Alan is initially shy when meeting people but once he is comfortable, he is outgoing and relates well to both adults and youth. Alan is in regular education and his favorite subjects are history and science. His favorite television shows are How It’s Made and Through the Universe.
He will need continued support to assist in processing anger, grief, and aggression. Alan should be the youngest or only child in his forever home. His parents will need to have experience with children who have emotional and behavioral needs, an ability to set clear boundaries and give specific, direct instructions, and strong parenting skills. His parents will need flexibility to attend counseling and possibly school meetings. Alan wants a forever family who will be patient with him and always love him. Alan would like his future forever family to know that he is aware that he needs to continue to work on himself and has hope that his new family will be supportive of him and that all family members “will have faith in each other."
