This is Alex.

He is a 9-year-old boy.

Meet Alex! Alex is a fun energetic child who loves to swim and who is excited about learning new things. Alex needs a well-structured, encouraging, fun and active family who will continue to help him understand how to ask for his wants and needs, and inspire him to stick with his routines and educational goals and that can advocate for his emotional well-being. We are currently looking for a family in the Albuquerque Metro area, or nearby, as he has siblings he would like to stay in contact with.

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
