This is Antonieta.

She is a 17-year-old girl.

Coloring, playing on the playground, creating wonderful pictures, and reading books are some of Antonieta's favorite things to do with her day. She enjoys wearing clothes with bright colors and glitter to show off her taste and fashion. Sometimes a picky eater, she lets you know that anything with cheese is not on her menu. She also strongly dislikes peas! Working closely with the teacher in her classroom, she benefits from a setting that is tailored to her needs.

Antonieta will do best in a family that can spend lots of time with her and give her lots of one-on-one attention, while engaging her in activities that will appropriately meet her high energy level and desire to move quickly on to the next thing. This family will benefit from the therapeutic team that works with Antonieta to support her in building ongoing skills she needs to learn, which will help her form trusting and appropriate relationships with family members.

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
