This is Estrella.

She is a 6-year-old girl.

Note: Estrella is part of a sibling group and must remain with her siblings, Angelino & Arianna.

Meet Estrella! Estrella, who is a compassionate child, is very curious and likes to learn new things and meet new people.  She is sweet and will easily engage in conversations.  Likes her siblings, Estrella also participates in physical activities, with gymnastics being her sport of choice.  In addition, Estrella also enjoys coloring and drawing.  Estrella is a very independent child who is an advocate for herself, but is also learning to lean on others for support.  She keeps to herself and prefers the company of her siblings over her peers, but she is learning the tools to be able to connect with her peers in the future and maintain those positive connections.

Estrella would benefit from a two parent family who can provide her and her siblings with structure and clear boundaries.  The family needs to have a lot of patience in order to help teach this sibling group how to maintain healthy sibling boundaries with each other. The family also needs to be able to accept their bond as siblings as well as accept them as individuals. Estrella and her siblings would benefit from being the youngest/only children in the home as they need support and guidance so the children can continue working in therapy in regard to their trauma behaviors.

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
