This is Janessa.

She is a 13-year-old girl.

Meet Janessa! Janessa enjoys participating in sports especially volleyball. Her favorite snacks are Takis and Recesses Peanut Butter Cups. Most days you will find Janessa watching TikTok and doing the newest dance challenge. Her ideal home would be in a single female home with younger children. However, Janessa will consider a home with a female and male caregiver if the male is patient and willing to build trust. She is looking for a family that will be enduring and will not give up on her. Janessa, like most young people, struggles with being told “no” or not getting her way. She is working on impulsivity and processing emotions. Janessa would make a great big sister to younger children and would love to have a family pet to care for.

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
