This is Jeff.

He is a 17-year-old boy.

Meet Jeff! Jeff is a smart boy who knows a lot about technology and loves all electronics. He enjoys playing video games and being on the computer. Jeff has good relationships with both adults and peers. Jeff likes to protect other children when needed.

Jeff does well in school. He is in regular education with support services. A two-parent home where Jeff is the only child would best fit his needs. Jeff would benefit from a structured, supportive, and loving family. His forever family will need well-informed, practice-based knowledge regarding the effects of trauma and how this impacts a child’s emotional and behavioral needs. A strong father figure who enjoys spending time with Jeff will be positive for him as will a mother who is nurturing yet has good boundaries. A family that is open to sibling connections is important, as Jeff has siblings he maintains contact with.

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
