This is John D.

He is a 15-year-old boy.

Meet John!  John is a very imaginative and caring young man.  He enjoys being with animals and he will pet them as a way to calm himself.  He enjoys sports, especially football and basketball.  He also likes to write rap music.  John shows initiative to succeed when he is around the right people and he has a dream of becoming a jeweler.  John would do well in a family that is very active, as he has a tendency to get bored easily. John would benefit from a calm and patient family who can offer him structure and consistency.  He hopes to have a family that has other children in the home.

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
