This is Kaitlynn.

She is a 15-year-old girl.

Kaitlynn is engaging, intelligent, active and caring. She is eager to learn new things, which she does very quickly. Some of Kaitlynn's favorite things are books, dolls, teddy bears and riding her bike. At mealtime she likes fried chicken, pizza, macaroni and cheese and salad, but she is allergic to almonds. Kaitlynn has siblings, and she would like to be able to maintain contact with them.

This young lady would benefit from a strong, two-parent family willing to continue working with her to learn good social skills, positive interactions and how to process and direct her feelings. An experienced family familiar with special needs will be ideal. Kaitlynn struggles in forming relationships with her peers and would do best in a home where she is an only child.

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
