Meet Miguel! Miguel is athletic and loves playing soccer and swimming. All boy, Miguel likes to play with toy cars. He has a great sense of humor and is outgoing.

Miguel will benefit from being placed with a family who assists him in processing his anger, grief, and loss. He needs a family which provides a loving, structured home with consistent expectations. Miguel will do best in a two parent home, with people who have knowledge of children burdened by emotional and behavioral needs. Parents with an understanding of the effects of trauma and attachments. His parents will need flexibility to attend counseling and school meetings to continue being supportive of Miguel’s needs..

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
