This is Shantell.

She is a 16-year-old girl.

Meet Shantell!! Shantell is a silly 16 year old teenager. She expresses that she would like to be adopted and does not have a preference for the family composition. Her only wish at this time is that they reside close to the city so she has access to resources and things to do. Shantell enjoys playing basketball and drawing. She loves animals and enjoys helping around the farm. Shantell enjoys taking care of the chickens, turkeys, roosters, sheep, goats, and dogs.

She has taken interest in learning how to work the sound board at the church. She helps with childcare during church services and is able to get paid. Shantell would like to learn how to play different instruments including the drums.

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
