This is Jeff.
He is a 13-year-old boy.
Jeff is an active boy who is engaging, outgoing, talks easily with others and loves to laugh. He loves school and sports of all kinds, especially soccer and basketball. He is looking forward to playing a sport on a team next season. He enjoys reading, art projects, video games, Legos, and playing with GI Joes.
Jeff is in regular education with support services. Jeff is learning how to play and simply be a child. He can easily make friends due to his outgoing personality and he is learning how to maintain the friendships that he has made. He is working to build his self-esteem and thrives on reassurance, praise and encouragement. A two-parent home where Jeff can be the youngest child would be a good fit for him. His forever family will need well-informed, practice-based knowledge regarding the effects of trauma and how this impacts a child’s emotional and behavior needs. A strong father figure who enjoys spending time with Jeff will be positive for him as will a mother who is nurturing yet has good boundaries.
