Meet Elias! Elias is a very intelligent and articulate young man.  He enjoys working crossword/word search puzzles, building with his Legos and doing science projects.  Elias wants to be a scientist when he grows up.  He is an active boy who loves to ride his bike and jump on the trampoline.  Elias states he would like to be a part of a soccer team.  Elias is very easy going, and he is learning the tools to advocate for himself and maintain positive peer relationships.  Elias needs encouragement to feel proud of his accomplishments.

Elias would benefit from a two parent family who can provide him and his sister with structure and routine. Elias and his sister would benefit from being the youngest/only children in the home as they need support and guidance so they can continue working in therapy in regard to their trauma behaviors. The family needs to be able to dedicate individual time to Elias so he can continue gaining self-esteem and learn to lean on others for support.

Note: Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) has ceased offering the non-relative Adoption Only program. CYFD does continue to offer the Foster Care program. The Foster Care Program differs in that that the goal of the program is to ultimately reunite the child with their biological parent while the child is in your care for approximately a year. Should you become a Foster Parent it is also a possibility that the children that you foster may become available for adoption.
